Quality assurance
The consistent high quality of its products and solutions, and striving for excellence and continuous improvement, are core Contel principles. Contel is of the firm belief that adherence to high quality deliverables is the key to success and a thriving business.
To realize this vision, Contel has invested extensive resources in quality assurance to ensure that its industrial customers take delivery of high quality products, every time.
Quality management means being focused on deliverables and on the processes that create them throughout the project lifecycle, and continuously improving the quality of the deliverables, while strictly adhering to configuration management, reduced development times and lowered costs.
Contel employs tools to manage and control development processes, resulting in systems of a high standard. A high-quality project complies with metrics such as meeting deadlines, budgetary compliance, compliance with defined requirements, and customer satisfaction. Preservation of quality is also measured after solutions have been delivered to the customer: during the warranty and maintenance period. Post-delivery quality metrics include: minimum faults, maximum response to customer requirements, and continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, in terms of both system performance and the level of service provided by Contel.
Contel has adopted stringent quality assurance procedures according to which all our products are subjected to a comprehensive series of tests that last throughout the product lifecycle.
The tests are performed according to a structured methodology adopted in the software industry: understanding of and acquaintance with the product, design of tests, writing of documentation, running-in in an environment that matches the customer environment, and debugging.
The company has a quality control system in place that includes involvement of testers from the earliest stages in the life of a product. Quality testing is performed throughout all the stages of the project (product) lifecycle, and involves several types of tests: system testing, which tests the end product in a testing environment that emulates the customer environment, subsystem tests, unit tests, integration tests, and regression tests. In addition, product development is always documented. This includes specification documents, documenting of development, documenting of testing, and writing of a user guide.
