Hydrocom Control LTD.

In 2009, Contel purchased the operations of Hydrocom Control Systems Ltd., which then became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Contel Group. Hydrocom specializes in the development of software solutions for water management using special software that is at the forefront of the field worldwide. Hydrocom maintains, and together with Mekorot, is continuing to develop the system in accordance with a multi-year plan. The system boasts unique technologies to control and supply huge water networks, and supports hierarchical handling of vast arrays of data.

 The system has been successfully installed at the main control centers of Mekorot, responsible for Israel’s water supply, and is linked in real time to over a million control points dispersed across 3000 remote sites.   In November 2009, at the WATEC Exposition held at the Israel Trade Fairs Center in Tel Aviv, Hydrocom unveiled the new road map for the product, which includes implementation of intelligent optimization mechanisms, improved data handling capabilities, new and innovative data exchange interfaces, and major technological enhancements to the product infrastructures, data security, etc.
